TUMAINI is a community-based, refugee led and women led organization founded to promote and protect the rights of refugee women and girls in Nakivale Refugee Settlement, Uganda. The organization provides a range of services and programs that address the specific needs and challenges faced by women and girls in displacement. TUMAINI is committed to empowering refugee women and girls by promoting gender equality, increasing access to education, health care, livelihoods and economic opportunities, and promoting the participation of women in decision-making processes within their communities. Through its work, TUMAINI has become a leading advocate for refugee women's rights, promoting social cohesion, resilience and peaceful coexistence among refugees and host communities in Nakivale.
